In 2012, in Accord, New York, Hausmann was invited to reimagine a dilapidated poultry barn owned by artist Sarah Draney, defining its humble origins with a new skin of mineral surfaced rolled roofing, black screening and an intricate pattern of galvanized and painted screws, creating the iconic ‘Black Barn’ landmark along Cooper Street in Ulster County.
